Financial Literacy for Newcomers
We provide financial literacy workshops to help newcomers manage their finances effectively. Our goal is to empower individuals to achieve financial stability and independence by equipping them with essential financial knowledge and skills.

Our Program
A detailed look at the financial knowledge and skills we help newcomers build.
Budgeting
Our workshops teach participants how to create and maintain a budget — understanding sources of income and categorizing expenses to track spending, setting financial goals and prioritizing needs over wants, and saving strategies to build an emergency fund and plan for future expenses.
Banking
We provide guidance on navigating the U.S. banking system: steps to open checking and savings accounts and choosing the right bank, using online banking to manage accounts, pay bills, and transfer money, and understanding services such as direct deposit, ATMs, and mobile banking apps.
Credit Management
Our credit management sessions help participants understand and manage their credit effectively — what a credit score is and why it matters, strategies for building and improving credit such as using credit cards responsibly and paying bills on time, and how to obtain and review credit reports.
Understanding the U.S. Financial System
We provide an overview of the U.S. financial system so newcomers can navigate it confidently: consumer protection laws and rights and how to address financial disputes, the different types of financial institutions — banks, credit unions, investment firms — and financial products including loans, mortgages, and insurance.
Toward Financial Independence
Your support helps us equip newcomers with the financial knowledge and skills they need to achieve stability and independence in their new home.
