Board Meeting Update

The Hazara Community of Oregon Board of Directors met on October 3, 2026, to welcome new board members, review board responsibilities, strengthen accountability, and discuss the organization’s priorities for the coming months.

During the meeting, the Board reviewed governance policies and expectations, discussed committee and department assignments, and focused on improving communication and participation among board members. The Board also discussed preparations for future grant opportunities, community programs, partnerships, fundraising, membership outreach, and ways to better serve Hazara families across Oregon.

The meeting also included planning for stronger internal systems, including regular board meetings, attendance tracking, clearer responsibilities, and improved organizational recordkeeping.

We are grateful to all of our board members for their time, commitment, and continued service to the Hazara community.
